Occupational Therapist
Mrs. Corlia van der Bank, B. OT, (SA Reg.), HPC reg.
Corlia is a paediatric occupational therapist from South Africa who loves helping children grow, learn, and gain confidence through play. She holds a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from Stellenbosch University and has worked with children and families across hospitals, clinics, and school settings — including NICU and paediatric wards, outpatient therapy, and early learning environments.
Corlia has extensive experience supporting babies, toddlers, and young children through early intervention, individual therapy, and small group programs. She has also coordinated occupational therapy services within a children’s home, where she led early intervention groups, provided individual therapy, and supervised occupational therapy students and volunteers.
Corlia works with children with developmental delays, prematurity, sensory processing differences, ASD, ADHD, learning challenges, cerebral palsy, and a range of physical and genetic conditions. Her focus is on helping children build practical skills for everyday life — including self-care, play, and learning — so they can participate more confidently at home and school.
She is trained in Ayres Sensory Integration® and is committed to evidence-based care. Corlia believes in working closely with families, caregivers, and educators, and is passionate about supporting each child’s development in a way that feels safe, joyful, and meaningful.
